Lots of glare on pics
Hi MAae Jason From Aussie Scale Modeller and Outlaw Paints, Doing the Same Build. Cheers Mate Had to Sub, MOS6510 Sent me the Kit
Only just saw this, lovely review Chris thank you so much for you comments! We're always looking for ways to make these kits even better so will be pushing the boundaries with each new kit. Still a bit of work to really establish the business but when that's done we can't wait to expand the range!
My plan was to get one built up quick for the magazine but the anniversary of the Dambusters got in the way 😁
@@BEARDEDAXEMODELS there's always Battle if Britain day later in the year :D!
Where's the nose weight?
Great review
Thank you. It's great to support a new company and while this kit may be a obvious subject hopefully this will pay for cooler more obscure aircraft choices in future ! 👍
I just bought the "New Tooling"kit excellent moulding with no Issues.
Yes they've fixed this since the original boxing's going forward. It's otherwise a lovely kit
thank you for the info! Good review!
Thank you. Hope to get back to it again soon !
Thanks for the review. To me, royal class Eduard kits are a ripp off, sooooooo expensive for what you get. Obviously that's a personal opinion. Cheers mate!
Слишком много болтовни, и ничего по делу. Лучше бы собирал, и сразу сделал бы обзор.
это один из моих первых отзывов.. спасибо за отзыв
Did I miss the decals part of the review?
picked this up at a local Hobby Lobby. Bought a Gundam set to try since some of my friends are into it and decided to snag this to tip my toes in the water first. Just finished the build and had a fun time for my first build.
Excellent !! Love to see the results !
I really hope there will ever be a re-issue. There's no good Tiffy kit to find in 1/48 these days... :/
A Tiffy would be a Typhoon.. this is a Tempest which is still currently available in both Profipack and weekend edition. If it is a TYPHOON you are after wait till Eduard have a overtrees sale.. I got the plastic for the hasegawa one that way for £5. Leaving plenty for the other bits and bobs :)
Yes you're right....but I'm a bit frustrated to see the Tempest kits everywhere but the Typhoon is like....vanished, disappeared, gone...I don't know what happend to the kit but besides the 1/24 Airfix kit there's nothing more to find in reasonable scale than very old kits on ebay. I've seen the overtrees at Eduard and I keep a close look at it :) Thx and btw: great build! Maybe I should suggest writing an e-mail to Border Model about making a Typhoon kit ;)
@@JeffreyLeeflang66 there is also the 72nd kit coming from Airfix too..
Just ordered this set from Amazon, very excited to get it! Great review!!
Thank you. It's a great little couple of kits !
@@BEARDEDAXEMODELS yeah (US) Amazon had this set for ~$42 with free shipping and at that price I couldn't pass it up. Really good price given all of the details and extras included.
Belo Kit 👍👍👍👍
That's true, Profipack kits are not really expensive, the masks and PE fret add value. Most 1/48 Airfix kits cost more than the weekend editions. And for instance a Profipack 1/72 Spitfire costs only a couple of €/£ more than an Airfix Spitfire, I paid 12 for the mk Vc.
Weekend kits have now 4 markings. It changed in the beginning of 2021.
Yes I'm aware some do. But I had to go with the "you'll at least get this" kinda thinking and there's a lot of older boxings out there. Same reason why I didn't get into the decal change either .. that'll be a whole video on its own lol 😂😁
@@BEARDEDAXEMODELS I haven't yet used the "new" style decals, just tested on same scrap kits. For most of the post 2020 kits I've got some aftermarket decals. But not for the re-boxed hasegawa B-26 and B-26. And it would be a pity not to use the markings, as they are very attractive. Have you experience with peeling the decals?
@@thekinksfan5102 I haven't no which is why I don't consider myself qualified to talk about them lol. I do have plenty of kits with them in the stash however so hopefully will get chance soon.
Hi. I'm not sure what's going on with your sound setup but since the Valiant review all I've heard is a quiet mumble. I turn my sound up to hear but it just distorts. It doesn't help that I am hard of hearing but I have no problem hearing all the previous reviews (which I must say I do enjoy listening to and getting your perspective on the kits). Can you please get back to a 'normal' level.
How curious.. thank you for the feedback. I haven't changed any equipment etc .. I'll investigate thank you.
Not able to replicate the problem this end ? Can you bring the video up on another device and see if it's any better ? All seems okay here ?
To say the Hasegawa boxing is difficult to get is laughable. I picked one up for $55 AUD vs The Hobby 2000 kit at $70 AUD. Hasegawa white box kits are relative easy to find. You also have the Mauve kit which has been reboxed by Academy and the AMT kit which is released by Italeri. So they are available just have to have a look around.
Maybe I should have added "in the UK" to that lol
This is the Revell kit. The MRP paint is MRP-185.
Yes annoyingly I found the bottle I was after shortly after I finished filming lol 🤣
Amazing! I’d love to see a time-lapse build/ paint job!
I'd love to know how lol
Great video Chris... love the luft-46 stuff ... I bought that kit as well 🙃
The moment it was announced I was sold 🤣🤣
Brilliant review as usual mine is still on the shelf at the shop lol
Thank you. There will be other boxing's so take a look shortly and see which markings interest you the most :)
looks like a great kit. Gotta love a Hurricane
I'm looking forward to getting a Arma Hurricane across my desk to compare though... 😉
Those pods are RATO units. They are for rocket assisted takeoff.
Ahhhh that makes perfect sense ! Especially as the Arado started off a undercarriage free skid design like a me163 ! Cheers !
I just finished building this model. Not sure if I want to go with the stickers or paint.
Bit tiny to mask though lol
@@BEARDEDAXEMODELS yeah. I'm going to get the tie fight model set. Then make a diorama for my son inlaw.
@@GalthT that sounds awesome !!
This looks like it's a great kit. Nice unboxing.
Cheers ! Anything you'd like to see more/less let me know
I’m glad you took a look at this kit! I’ve been wanting to buy and build this kit since I heard it was being released.
Highly recommend it looking at the contents.
Bloomin ek ! That's a purdty... yank-spit burdy!
Thank you Scott !
Bit flickery there Chris
Bugger.. I thought I'd sorted that live after the first few seconds :(
Great tips
Thank you :)
‘Go on You know you want too’! REALLY i mean Really LOL 😂 and Happy new year
Really want to what ? Lol I did this review a while back i can't remember lol 🤣
@@BEARDEDAXEMODELS add all the small decals.
@@Marie579 oh no.. it's bad enough in 1/48th lol
Thank you for sharing! I wondered how this kit is and am considering buying it. :)
Thanks for confirming that this would be a good intro to 1:48. Not built any in that scale yet, so might see if I can pick one of these up.
The wing to fuselage fit left a bit to be desired but other than that I had no real problems any modeller with a few under their belt would need to worry about.. it's a lovely little kit and I'd happily build another :)
@@BEARDEDAXEMODELS thanks, 👍
Bonjour mon ami 👍Hi friend Very nice UNBOXING 👍I like this kit Congrats buddy good morning of France 👍🇫🇷
Bonjour! Ça va ? Thank you very much ! Good day from the UK !
Good unboxing and discussion, it looks like a fun build none the less. £25 for a 1/48 fighter is not too far off the mark for a WW2 bird. But maybe a bit steep for this one.
That's my thinking.. it should build nice and does have some nice touches. Since the Tamiya one can still be found for £20 though...
We end up with a fair collection .... those wee dropper bottles are great (cheers,)
Keeps the cheap superglue going for longer :)
Got mine, not even opened the package yet ... cheers for the video! , noticed balders (Mike Baldwin) doesn't appear to be at MJR any longer (shame as knows his stuff) oh & Happy new year
Happy New Year sir ! Shame I used to speak to him every year at Telford
Good video Chris , I'm glad you do these things , then folk like me don't have to ...ps editing be damned lol
I think if I keep doing them I'll need to improve but I thought I might as well pop it up :)
Excelente video desde Chile abrazo me encanta los aviones el aeromodelismo gran trabajo 😂😂😂🤟
muchas gracias
Looks good but a tinnnny bit to much mud🙃
Quite good, but some extra attention to chipping and mud must be required for an excellent result
The screen in front of the copilot is meant to be like that. But both the cockpit & canopy fit to the fuselage wasn't good when I built the earlier (Red Arrows version) kit two years ago so do plenty of test fitting. 👍🏻 Mine also had short-shot on the ejector seat headbox, with side missing...this Airfix kit is not up to the standard ot the recent Hunter in 1/48 or 1/72 Buccaneer or Phantom.
Yes, you are right, i realised the screen was correct when i eventually built it. Thankfully mine didnt show any short shots but it does seem to be becoming a habit of Airfix, see their new Chipmunk for example :(
Lovely review, but that cam is painful with the focus, you out perform this camera......
Yes unfortunately I can't afford a nice one so it's just my phone :) maybe one day.. lol
First time visiting the channel really enjoying the review and your vibe. Liked and subbed mate.
Thanks !! More coming hopefully !
Nicely done bro
Thank you it's been a really well received build. Even appeared in SAMI the other month :)
@@BEARDEDAXEMODELS it really is you've paid attention to the detail a lot it looks really good
Thanks matey
Not bad
Thank you. I'm normally a aircraft builder but I quite like a bit of armour from time to time :)
@@BEARDEDAXEMODELS i tought so because i watch a channel it's called hanger 182 the guy is normally a aircraft modeller and the first rime he built a tank it wasn't perfect it was like yours i am mainly a ship and armour modeler and im thinking of buying my first aircraft as well since i really like aircraft the kit im going tou buy is the hobbyboss 1:48 me 262 schwalbe it has a full interior and it will be fun to build and paint
It's a lovely kit I highly recommend it
Hey Chris ... Great review as usual ...Good to have you back.... mine is on the way 👍👍
Cheers Scott ! I'm working with a mate to look at new solutions that'll make it easier for me to post more.. cross fingers lol
Fantastic review, well explained. I will look forward to seeing the finished build
